Up to four people can take part in a single game. Each of them gets a character and a starting set of cards, which should be used wisely. Later in the match, players can get new cards in three ways: find them while moving across the spaces on the board, buy them or earn them. The better the card, the rarer it is. A lot rides on the dice: how many spaces a player moves, how a battle begins and which cards end up in their collection. The fights themselves are turn-based, with combatants taking turns as they try to beat their opponent using the cards in their hand.
