DMCA Policy
Effective date: October 14, 2026
Koyso respects the intellectual property rights of others and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement in line with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. §512.
What we host
Koyso does not host game files on its own servers; download links point to third-party file hosts. The site does store and display text, cover art and screenshots used to identify each game. You can ask us to remove a page, a link or an image.
Filing a takedown notice
If you are a copyright owner, or are authorised to act for one, send a written notice that includes all of the following, as required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed (or, for several works, a representative list).
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with the exact URL(s) on Koyso so we can locate it.
- Your contact information: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
Where to send it
Email your notice to admin@koyso.net with "DMCA Notice" in the subject line, or send it through our Contact page. Incomplete notices may delay our response. We usually act on valid notices within 2 business days by removing or disabling access to the material, and we may notify the person who posted it.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to admin@koyso.net that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Koyso may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.
When we receive a valid counter-notice, we forward it to the original complainant. If they do not tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days.
Repeat infringers
Koyso will remove content that is the subject of repeated valid notices and, in appropriate circumstances, permanently block anyone who repeatedly submits or posts infringing material.
False claims
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages. Please make sure you have the right to file before you send a notice.
