Arcade platformers are a blast to play, and the best of them still find room for one-of-a-kind stories. This time we recommend A Hat in Time, an amazing adventure starring a small, energetic girl. She's tired of space adventures and has decided to head home, but that turns out to be easier said than done. During a stop on one planet, she runs into criminals who damage her ship and scatter its parts all over the planet. Now she has to recover the lost parts, rebuild the ship and get off this dangerous planet as quickly as possible.
The gameplay follows the familiar arcade formula, with all sorts of tasks to complete. You'll take on a variety of challenges, collect useful items and even fight opponents. The whole adventure comes in a familiar cartoon style, with lovely graphics, animation and roomy levels. You're free to move around as you like, solving puzzles along the way, winning over enemies with kindness and manipulating some of your rivals. Despite her age, this girl can surprise and delight you, and that's something worth taking advantage of.
Bit by bit you'll meet all kinds of characters, and not all of them will be hostile. But don't let your guard down, because you'll often have to battle huge bosses that take quite a while to beat. Either way, you'll get to experience an amazing story about one small but brave girl. She'll show you how important it is to stay true to yourself, not hide your feelings and enjoy every moment of life. You can download A Hat in Time for free and help her get home. Good luck!
