Dwarf Eats Mountain is an incremental strategy game in which a bunch of greedy dwarves literally devour a huge mountain for its gold. Anything goes: dynamite, ballistas, lasers, flamethrowers and every other way you can think of to make the mountain's life as painful as possible. But smashing the rock is only half the job. The real fun starts afterward, when the Runners try to haul the loot home through a rain of boulders and yet more "gifts" from the Great Mother.
The Harder You Dig, the Angrier the World Gets
The mountain keeps pushing back against the dwarves' greed. At first it all looks like ordinary gold mining, and then rocks start falling from above, chunks of cliff collapse and real chaos breaks out. You have to balance mining against delivery, because a dead Runner with a sack of gold is no use to anyone.
The good stuff really kicks in with builds and synergies. One build turns the mine into a gold factory powered by dynamite and runesmiths, while another is built around artifacts, rituals and wildly accelerating resources. Flamethrowers, gyrocopters, spelunkers, brewers, laser rigs: there are so many options that after a couple of runs you are no longer building a "dwarf settlement" but a full-blown mountain-destroying machine.
