Escape Simulator 2 is the sequel to Pine Studio's co-op escape room simulator, released on October 27, 2025. The first game became one of the best-selling titles in the genre, and the second adds new room packs, more physics and an updated editor where you can build your own levels.
Three Fresh Room Packs
Each pack contains four rooms, designed together with real-world escape room masters and level creators from the community. In Dracula's Castle, you have to lift a curse from a town held captive by a grim fortress. Aboard the research vessel Starship EOS, the controls have failed after a collision, and you must draw power from a mysterious dark sphere. In The Cursed Treasure, the route to a pirate island is encoded in an old map, with a hoard waiting at the end. The developers promised to keep adding new rooms after launch.
Touch Everything
Interaction with the environment is noticeably richer. You can pick items up, turn them over in your hands and examine them, wipe the dirt off them, sit down anywhere, drive vehicles and move anything that is not bolted to the floor. Very often the clue is hiding in exactly that kind of small detail. Headset players get VR support, and everyone else can use gamepads, including DualShock and DualSense.
Play Together, Build Your Own
You can tackle the rooms solo or with a group of up to eight people, with built-in voice and text chat and cross-platform play. Fans made more than 4000 rooms for the first game, so the editor was rewritten from scratch: Room Editor 2.0 brings new lighting, working stairs and animation tools, and finished levels can be published to the Steam Workshop. The game holds a score of 80 on Metacritic. You can download Escape Simulator 2 for free on PC right here.
