Right after announcing the remaster of the first Mafia, the developers kept the news coming and revealed that another re-release was on the way, this time for the second game. That's right: they decided to treat the fans and did not forget about the cult classic sequel. As before, you get a full graphics overhaul, high resolution support and improvements to other technical details. Keep in mind that this version of the second game is not a remake. It is simply an updated version of the game on the same engine. For most players that is more than enough. The Mafia Story Continues
This time you head to 1950s America and step into the shoes of Vito Scaletta. He has made it through the war and has finally come home. When he arrives, though, he learns that his father is dead and that his family now owes a lot of money to a local businessman. At first he plans to sort everything out by simply talking it over, but he soon realizes that this approach will get him almost nowhere. That is where his loyal friend and partner Joe steps in. Joe pulls the hero into a local gang and offers him a chance to make good money, which is exactly what he needs. Vito agrees to just a few jobs, but before long he is in deep and even starts climbing the ranks.
A Story Worth Telling
Just like in the previous game, the story and storytelling take center stage. At first everything seems simple and clear: money, fame, connections and much more. But being part of a crime family takes skill, and the hero will run into plenty of problems and face the consequences of his actions. You will have to think through every move and do your best to avoid mistakes. And remember, sooner or later you will have to answer for everything you have done.
