Outlast, a hit of 2012, ended at its most terrifying moment. Its developer, the Canadian studio Red Barrels, released an expansion in 2014, Outlast: Whistleblower, which served as a prequel. So when will the sequel, Outlast 2, come out? Not even the creators themselves can say for sure, because they are completely absorbed in the creative process. It is worth remembering that many outlets named the original the best horror game of 2012. It was made with tremendous dedication by a very small team of just 10 people. The same people will be working on Outlast 2, so the result is sure to be impressive. The first game was built on Unreal Engine 3. The new one will clearly look better, since the fourth version of the famous engine came out in the spring of 2014.
