Released on April 30, 2009 by the Ukrainian developer GSC Game World, this is the sequel to the cult game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. You can download S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat for free and set out on a journey through the Exclusion Zone.
The hero has destroyed the Brain Scorcher, but that creates a new problem: more and more stalker and bandit factions are appearing, spreading across the whole Exclusion Zone in search of artifacts and easy loot. The Ukrainian government's attempts to retake control of the Zone end in disaster when five reconnaissance helicopters are destroyed at once. Now the hero has to explore the area and find out what brought the helicopters down, making his way all the way to the heart of Pripyat.
