The Walking Dead Onslaught Direct Download

Zombies have been done every which way, but that hasn't stopped ambitious developers from taking another shot.

The Walking Dead Onslaught is the latest action game based on The Walking Dead TV series and comics, and it comes from the studio Survios. Notably, the game has the backing of the TV network that bought the rights to the series adapted from Kirkman's comic.

The developers are still keeping the gameplay and story under wraps. What we do know is that you will be able to play as one of your favorite survivors, using that character's unique stats and skills. With melee or ranged weapons, you can turn every fight into a real meat grinder, ripping off limbs and other body parts from the shameless corpses. The rotting bodies will show juicy, realistic damage.

The developers also promise combat physics that react to the context of each situation. For example, a katana can get stuck in a zombie's body, and you will have to work hard to yank it back out. Expect the rotting corpse to put up some resistance. Beyond bashing or gunning down the nasty creatures, you will also be able to hurl other corpses and objects at them. The official release was planned for fall 2019, and you can download The Walking Dead Onslaught for free and see the carnage for yourself.
