Totally Accurate Battle Simulator is a hilarious simulator that lets you become a commander and direct massive battles. And the physics are very realistic!
At the start you have a set amount of money and a limited number of warriors. Your army is made up of all sorts of fighters, from simple brawlers who use their fists to heavy ballistic siege engines. The more advanced the unit, the more it costs. Based on the resources you have, both cash and troops, you put your army together and place your fighters in position. Then the battle begins. The combat mechanics are really interesting, and the developers have made a genuinely funny game.
Win a battle and you can move on to the next, harder level, earning extra money as a reward. You can use it to build a new, stronger army. If your forces fall apart, you will have to learn from your mistakes, reshuffle your troops, change tactics and charge back in. The game simulates medieval battles very realistically: you assemble a small army and then throw it into a bloody fight.
The project is still in alpha testing, but it already has plenty of units, from skittish villagers to enormous catapults.
What really sets the game apart is its superbly crafted ragdoll physics, which make everything feel both realistic and ridiculous.
Lots of players have already given the game a try. On Steam you can read more than three thousand comments, and there are plenty of video reviews from Let's Players online as well.
