Zompiercer is a fun, fast-paced first-person shooter with a zombie theme. Much like in Metro: Exodus, you travel by train across wastelands crawling with vicious monsters.
Last Man on the Base
The storyline is typical of zombie movies and games. You are a soldier guarding a base during the zombie apocalypse. Most people have turned into the walking dead, but a few military units still have things under control. Your hero wakes up on a fortified base to the sound of alarms. Once awake, you realize the base has been overrun: the zombies broke through the defenses and devoured all of the hero's comrades. You quickly grab everything you need, jump on a train parked nearby and head off wherever the tracks take you.
From now on, the train is your home and your fortress. You have to reinforce it, set up the interior and stock it with everything you need to survive. To do that, you travel through an open world and gather supplies. If you enjoy zombie shooters that let you build up your own base, give Zompiercer a try on PC. You should like it.
Scavenge to Survive
This is a first-person shooter. To survive, you need resources: fuel for the train, food, water, weapons, armor and medicine. You can find them in cities overrun by the dead. Every so often you have to make a supply run: pull up as close to a town as you can, scout the area, collect everything you need and move on. You are safe on the train, but if a big horde latches onto you, trouble is guaranteed. So be careful and fortify your mobile shelter as much as you can.
Building Up the Train
One part of the train handles movement, while the second, the carriage, takes care of everything else. Inside the carriage you can upgrade your living space, bring in new items, rest, craft gear and recover your health. You can also reinforce the outside of the train with scrap metal, spikes, sharp spears and more.
