This time you become a test subject, a warrior fighting in an arena set in a grim dark fantasy world. Don't be surprised at how you ended up here: desperation and poverty pushed you into it. Now you're ready to take on any opponent and do everything you can to win, because every victory pays well and brings you one step closer to becoming a legendary warrior. You still have to earn that title, though, and that's exactly what you're about to do.

Blood, Steel and Spells

Getting started takes only a couple of minutes, and once the adventure opens its doors, you can jump straight in. At first you'll train and pick out the gear for your next bout, then follow every order your new masters hand down. Your career begins with bare-knuckle fights against zombies inside a house. After that you'll pick up a sword and square off against skeletons, and later you'll face other warriors and all kinds of strange creatures. If things get really bad, don't hesitate to turn to magic, which you can hurl straight at your opponents or channel into your weapon.

Combat You Can Feel

The game's real highlight is its combat system. You feel every move you make, and the rush it delivers is something else. Fighting with your fists feels natural and familiar, but the moment you grab a hammer or a sword, your movements turn slower and less precise, and that's before you even get to magic and shields of every size. The key is not to overdo it and to stay alert in the arena, since traps, surprise events and even more enemies can be waiting all around you. Yes, some fights will be unfair, and you'll have to win them anyway, because there's simply no other option.
