In Falsus is a music game with an unusual story about lies, truth and five girls whose ordinary school days in the near future are suddenly upended by an invitation to a mysterious government program. By following each heroine separately, you gradually uncover a hidden side of the world around them, while the story's trials are woven together with the music. More than 70 songs, a range of genres and four difficulty levels let you get used to the controls gradually and move from easy challenges to intense battles. If you download In Falsus for free on PC, you get not only music challenges but also a standalone story that unfolds as you progress.
Truth and Lies
The music challenges are built around precise mouse and keyboard control, and the difficulty climbs steadily as notes come in thicker and the airborne playfield shifts. Each encounter with a new character becomes its own challenge tied to a song of its own, so the mood and pace keep changing as you play. You have more than 70 tracks at your disposal, and over 40 of them were written specifically for the game by Japanese independent composers and artists from abroad. Thanks to that, the music never settles into a single sound and accompanies each stage of the story in its own way.
Beyond the music, crafting special cards from the materials you collect plays a big role. Resources earned from challenges can be placed into blueprints, which are grids offering different upgrades and extra properties. Every card you make is different from the last, and where you place materials inside a blueprint affects the final result, so you choose the combination of abilities that suits you. You can bring up to five cards along at once and swap your set depending on the songs you pick and how you want to approach them.
