Paint the Town Red starts off innocently enough, at a pool table, although the balls have an unusual shape: they are square. Then again, everything in this game is square. In the story, the hero is planted inside a criminal gang that, between robberies and whatever else, likes to unwind with a game of pool and just hang out at the bar. These "friendly get-togethers" come to an end once it comes out that you are a plant. What do you do? Simple: no man, no problem. The catch is that there are a lot of men, so you will have to deal with the whole gang. On the bright side, you can use anything at all in the brawl. A pool cue, a chair, a table leg...
Game features:
- Take out the entire gang! Enemies are everywhere, and everything is a weapon!
- The gaming community took an interest in this game, so Valve decided to meet it halfway, and after talks with the developers, the game is expected to arrive on Steam soon.
- Striking visuals: the blood of each fallen thug breaks apart into little squares, a knife takes heads off in a single cut, a pool cue can punch a hole straight through an opponent, and so on.
- If you plan to download Paint the Town Red, know that the full version is set to add more places to brawl; a range of levels; more unique weapons, with several ways to pick them up and drop them; several ways to get around, such as with a pole; co-op and competitive multiplayer; and per-level stats.
