Black Ops is one of the sub-series of the legendary Call of Duty shooters, and it centers on special forces units. The first game, released in 2010, told the story of CIA operative Alex Mason, with the action unfolding between 1961 and 1968. The sequel turns to Alex's son, David. Lieutenant David Mason commands a Navy SEAL team and is hunting Raul Menendez, the leader of a terrorist organization.
David has a personal goal as well: avenging his father's death. That said, depending on what you do, Alex Mason may turn out to be alive. Black Ops 2 tells its story nonlinearly, regularly jumping from the present, which here means 2025, back to the late 1980s. Whenever the story returns to the past, you mostly play as Alex Mason. The plot is genuinely gripping, which is why so many fans of the series choose to download Call of Duty Black Ops 2.
What Black Ops 2 brings to the table:
- The sequel hands you a wide range of new weapons that did not and could not exist in the previous game. More than half a century has passed, after all, and scientists have had time to develop unique modern hardware. Time to put it to the test!
- Beyond firing modern guns, you also get another, equally impressive option: mastering the robotics of the future. Combat drones and other powerful gear are already at your command. No more time to waste, it's time to fight!
- One of the standout gameplay additions is the Strike Force missions. Here the hero gives orders to several squads at once. You don't have to lead each group to the enemy by hand, either: the soldiers may run on artificial intelligence, but they are smart enough to attack on their own as soon as they spot hostile troops.
- Multiplayer has been expanded and improved, making it even more engaging for players of every skill level, newcomers in particular. A training mode with bots was built especially for them, where you hone your combat skills and level up your character. Once you reach level 10, you are ready to take on real opponents.
- Like the first game, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 includes the addictive Zombies mode, which has been refined and now offers new variations. All in all, this shooter promises plenty of exciting things!
